Donations & Pink Ribbons on Campus

In a month-long October campaign, our Student Services Department spearheaded efforts to promote breast cancer awareness in the college community.
Staff at both our campuses wore pink FCT lanyards and decorated the campuses with pink banners, informative posters and signage on digital monitors. Students were able to visit a breast cancer info booth in the student lounge, where they learned about the disease and preventative measures.
Students also wrote over 450 messages of hope on ribbons for cancer survivors and victims. These ribbons adorned both campuses, symbolizing widespread support and leaving a resonating impact on our students, staff, and faculty.
In a gesture of gratitude, FCT matched the number of signed ribbons with a $500 donation to Knitted Knockers Canada, an organization devoted to creating and donating handmade breast prostheses for survivors. FCT remains unwavering in its dedication and support in the ongoing fight against breast cancer, exemplifying a commitment to community wellbeing and awareness.
